A brief introduction to the nature of the astral planes, the discovery of these by the Viligoths.

Before the shedding of the vilii and the fythii, the only sentient being in the universe that can travel through time and space at will are the Iluvataris. Note that Elyohim is sentience incarnate, that his will is existence and proof of this is the universe.

With the shedding of the vilii, the morgoths, reptilian and insect-like creatures living in the dark side of the universe, who only have a vague notion of existence, and faint hint of conscious thinking, grew in cunning and dexterity, and became viciously aggressive towards each other.

The viligoths arose from the most cunning, and versatile vilii infected morgoths. Due to the barbaric nature of the morgoths of cannibalism, vilii essence collected to the surviving morgoth tribes. Subsequently,a creature born of pure vilii marked the domination of the viligoths among the morgoths.

Battles between viligoth tribes, resulted in a profound discovery of using the vilii essence to its advantage. Viligoths became faster, effective killing machines. Their mastery over the vilii grew as they discover more uses of it in the fields of decapitation, mutilation and embowelment.
As the viligoth's sophistication in using the vilii to kill grew. The Iluvatari resolved to put an end to the viligoths aggresiveness by Fythii. However, the fythii, had not cured the entire viligoth's barbaric ways, but enraged the race and united against the Iluvatari and the Iluvatarian allies. The viligoth's planets had been so drenched in vilii essence, exponentially increased through selective breeding, that fythii essence had solidified into corporeal forms, in globules like oil over water. This was among the greatest mistakes of the Iluvatari, for in their pursuit of developing barren worlds, they neglected the backwater ones where vilii had grown to an uncontrollable degree. Note that human beings would have turned out that way, if Elyohim had not intervened. Most of the Iluvatari harbored deep hatred for the humans because of Elyohim's special treatment of them*, and as a result, the vilii also had this ancient hatred.

One of the many humanoid charges the ancient elven (Izruindi) race and the Iluvatari had helped equipped with enchantment to battle the viligoths, during the period where whole races infected by the vilii sought to conquer the universe. Note that this was before Fythii had been shed to counteract the said agent.

Dwarves had been rallied by the Iluvatari from world to world through planar portals to establish strongholds beneath the mountains to help counter balance the domination of the vilii. Dwarves became a standard banner in which humanoids across the galaxies had rallied, seeking protection in their fortifications against viligoths and vilii monsters.

After Fythii had been shed, the dwarven people, already empowered with the effect of vilii, were spared from full purification, thus the dwarven's lust for gold is still powerful up to the period of their first contact with the lesser elves.

Chronicles of Aethros

Seldarius

Little is known about this ancient ascetic. Folklore tells us of the only account that he existed in history was during the dark age of the lunatic wars. Legend has it that he invoked the power of Elyohim, no existing description of the summoning was ever accounted, but it was said that after this said event, rare amaranthine and mystrile flowers were discovered.

Lunatic Wars

Said to have happened as atrocities and discrimination against the Seldarin followers by the majority of the elven nations eleven hundred centuries after their first arrival through a time rift. The cause was said to be the persistent refusal of the Seldarins to conform to the use and implementation of Lunar Magic, taken from the crystal dew that condenses on plants every full moon.

Seldarin

The followers of Seldarius, they claim to have shared ancestral blood with him, that’s why they easily grasp the “reality” Seldarius preaches. Living in the edges of the cyprean forest, the Seldarin enchants the vegetation and trees to spread through out the barren wastelands of the ashfield lands. Folklore also has it, that they were the first colonies of elves who set out to tame the harsh world of Aethros.

Records of the preachings of Seldarius

Much of Seldarin text and rune graphs had been destroyed during the great reckoning. Most of the knowledge of the history of the elven race and the world of Aethros had been burned in the fires of the phenixian summoning of Seldarius. It was said to be that in every place that a Seldarin blood had spilled, a column of white fire burst forth from the ground, instantly incinerating any nearby matter.

*Seldarin prophecies state the coming of the ancient Iluvatars, who created the elven people. Most of the pioneer elven settlers blamed the Iluvatars for the destruction of their home planet, after the time rift was destroyed. An account from the ancient ballads state that fire and death swept the land as the time rift leaked the destruction of Aethros through the time rift, hundreds of elven alchronomists died before the stellar gateway was sealed off. Before the appearance of Seldarius, elven society shunned all forms of Iluvatari existential theories, submitting themselves instead to what they call as real science.

Aethros Prima

The planet, said to be harsh and unforgiving during the first arrival of the elves, became a trading outpost and research portal for the whole elven generation. Craggy and teeming with savage magical monsters, the elven colonists nevertheless carved a habitable niche in the valley of El’sindar, aptly named after their planet Sirindar. Orbitting the inhospitable planet is the crystal blue moon, whose light is said to possess mystical energy that condenses in the twilight dew every lunar eclipse.

Twilight dew

The prime commodity which lured the elvish merchants and entrepreneurs to establish trading offices in the otherwise primitive world of Aethros. Fragile and rare, the twilight dew forms only during lunar eclipse, existing for only a few minutes before evaporating into nothingness. Aptly called twilight dew, because during every lunar eclipse, the dew is said to be catching light from the crystal moon, emitting a faint orange glow, the plains and the forests were said to be like that of the dawn whenever the full moon comes because of this dew. The shadow creatures, aethirean natives, also harvest this dew for unknown reasons.

Shadow Creatures

Shy aethirian natives who are remarkably peaceful despite their namesake. Hard to spot by the naked eye, they slip from shadow to shadow, ensnaring small rabbit-like creatures with invisible web and taking them to their dark coves hidden in the bowels of the greater forests. It was said that the race had dealt in commerce with the elven during their first arrival. Exchanging mechanical devices for twilight dew, the elves discovered the alchonomystical properties of the substance. However, after the explosion of the time rift wherein hundreds of shadow creatures died, the race withdrew from any more dealings with the elves. The only surviving account of the shadow creature's true form was written by a forest scout who survived being nearly burned to death during the time rifts destruction, he writes that the shadow creatures, are slender elf-like(note that the elven race had not yet made contact with the human race), except for the thin lithe wings in their wrists and ankles. They wear their woven strands of fine hair like robes, and their eyes glow a dim shade of ivory. While most of the critics say that he was hallucinating, brainwashed or deluded when he was rescued by the creatures, some still believe this account to be true, and held theatrical plays in honor for the creatures whom they likened as forest guardians.

The elven people

Probably, one of the most nomadic races of all time, through out billenias they travelled from one world to another through time rifts. Legend has it that they came from the outermost reaches of the universe wherein the space-time fabric is extremely winded up. As the race, travels more and more towards the center of the universe, opening time rifts and stepping into a new space-time fabric, their mortality rate from decades, extended considerably as well, but with the cost of losing their mystical powers of altering reality, that is, magic. However, through out their travels their race gradually split into more specialized forms when they fail to alter their environments. An example of these, are the woodland elves, the major race in Sirindar. and then there're the drow elves, whose fascination with the dark turned them into a fierce and solitary race. A few tribe of these are scattered through out Sirindar. And the surviving remnants of the ancient elves, the elven spellcasters, who rised into power by wisdom, leadership and ability. It is of no wnder however why a great many elves would dare gain foothold in the harsh Aethirian jungles, swamps, bogs, lava lakes and sulfur plains. Mainly because of the faint notion that aside from giving them power to practice spellcraft, a luxury attainable only by those with the gift, the twilight dew as well would elevate their status within the society.

Humans may not have a long history as that of the elves, nor do they have magical abilities. But for what the elves lack, the humans had in abundance, and that is, the persistive curiousity over trivial matters. Aside from having a wide multitude of personality defects, which the Iluvatari constantly complained of when dealing with the race. Note that the Iluvatari's corporeal form is that of what humans call as Angels or the Seraphim. And with curiousity, comes the excessive amount of imagination. It comes as a big surprise to the elves then when both races had first contact about the absurd idea of hurtling through space inside a chunk of metal.

In the accounts of the elven liegelords discussions with the Iluvatari, they had likened the human race to a long distance bratty little brothers. Elven liegelords, like errant knights, had accompanied the Iluvatari across the universe as companions and devout guards against stellar Villii.

Unlike the elves who've had long since accepted the Iluvatari as the guardians leading them to their racial destiny, humans instead revere the Iluvatari. and in many accounts mistaken them to be Elyohim. The offer of unfathomable power and excessive pride led some Iluvatari, to pose as Elyohim within the race, impressing the lowly humans with their supranatural abilities. Undoubtedly, they became corrupted, and Elyohim, himself had taken upon himself the task to straighten out the mess that some Iluvatari had caused. Elyohime punished by limitng the scalawag Iluvatari by limiting their corporeal ability to turning only into a ghastly, and gruesome beast, which became a central figure for evil in human folklore an literature.

The Vilii is the substantiated dark recess of an Iluvatari's corruption.
In hopes of returning service to Elyohim, the Iluvatari stripped themselves of their corrupted essence.
These concentrated globules of supranatural essence condensed and gained consciousness.
It seeped through mortal minds alike.
The former ambition ambition and illusion of the Iluvatarian grandeur still retained in its invisible presence,
it promised power to all creatures alike through out the cosmos.

The vilii had many strange effects on various creatures.
To the ones most sensitive to it, became creatures of vileness.

To neutralize this enslaving conscious yet invisible symbiote, the Iluvatari stripped themselves of the same essence, the purifying essence connecting them to the Elyohim, whose infinite pristine glory had kept the Iluvatari in line. This living conscious essence, Fythii contained the same Iluvatarian devotion to the Elyohim, and with it comes, righteousness and moral responsibility. However, without the Iluvatarian's level of wisdom and maturity, creatures lesser than the ancient elves had only a faint notion of the existence of the all encompassing omnipotent Elyohim.

However, Among the many humanoid creatures that had been altered by the Vilii and the Fythii, the most notable would be the Dwarven race.
Past reputations as lackadaisical spineless creatures, who had been created by the Iluvatari to mainly develop the mountainous region of Karn.
The vilii gave these creatures a ferocious courage and perseverance in developing their domain, as other vilii altered creatures swarmed and sought to seize power and gold from the dwarven race.

Subsequently, the dwarven skill for architecture, alchemy, metalwork and fighting had been honed to a degree, that the Iluvatari sought to bring them to other worlds to battle the vilii monsters lke dragons, wurms and orcs.

There exists no record of the Iluvatari's existence.

However we may deduce from the preachings of Seldarius that they had existed even before the creation of the universe.
Iluvataris do not have any form. They travel from place to place at the blink of an eye.
They only assume corporeal forms when dealing with creatures unable to stand the burning radiance of their true form.

The aethirians had described them as dragons mainly because most of their dealings were with the Fyronian Iluvatari. Note that this had been the staple form of Fyronians ever since they withdrew service from Elyohim.

The ancient elves however, dealt and compromised with the Iluvatari in their true form, which is of pure energy. Note that the ancient elves have great wisdom and power of magic to withstand the "effects" of social encounters with the Iluvatari.

As Seldarius tells of it, the Iluvataris to the ancient elves, were like that of a lord to his knights. The Iluvatari however had broken off contact with the lesser elves
